AI-Enhanced QA Automation Engineer
Camplight
Are you a QA expert ready to shape the future of software testing with AI?
Join Camplight, where your expertise will push the boundaries of test automation and quality assurance by combining proven QA practices with cutting-edge AI workflows.
What you’ll be working on?
We are embarking on an exciting project to bring AI-driven quality assurance into real-world software development. The goal is to streamline, optimize, and future-proof QA workflows by embedding AI at every stage—from test generation and execution to bug detection, analysis, and intelligent test coverage.
Your work will focus on:
- Leveraging AI-assisted test generation for unit, integration, and regression cases.
- Using AI to enhance exploratory testing, bug triage, and log analysis.
- Embedding AI into CI/CD pipelines to maintain test coverage and reduce regressions.
- Building AI-driven QA dashboards that deliver actionable insights for risk and defect management.
- Exploring advanced areas like RAG pipelines, vector DBs for regression analysis, and AI-powered test maintenance.
Your Role
You will play a central role in designing and executing an AI-first QA strategy, helping the team move beyond traditional test automation. This involves not just prompting AI tools, but embedding them deeply into the testing architecture, workflows, and infrastructure.
You’ll work closely with developers, product teams, and other engineers to:
- Define the testing architecture.
- Integrate AI-powered test generation, execution, and bug detection.
- Build scalable, adaptive QA workflows that evolve alongside the product.
About Camplight
We build self-organizing technical teams, offer software development services, and work with businesses and entrepreneurs to create new products.
With over 300 successful software projects, some ongoing for over 8 years, we strive for long-term success for our partners.
By following the principles of self-management and organizing as a cooperative, we achieve 95% satisfaction among them.
When joining Camplight, you can become a co-owner of the cooperative, allowing you to steer the business and share in the rewards of our collective success.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for senior QA engineers with an ownership mindset, who can confidently design testing strategies, apply automation best practices, and—most importantly—demonstrate how AI can power QA in practice.
You should be both a seasoned automation tester and a pioneer in AI-driven QA innovation, ready to share real-world experience where AI made a measurable difference in testing.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Automation QA experience (testing architecture a strong plus).
- At least 3 months of active AI tool usage in development or testing workflows.
- Demonstrated projects where AI significantly contributed to QA/test processes.
- Solid understanding of QA theory, automation, and test strategy.
- Experience with agile testing methodologies.
AI-Related Competencies
- Test Generation & Execution: AI-driven unit, integration, regression, edge case tests; exploratory testing with AI; UI test scripts via AI (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
- Bug Detection & Analysis: AI-assisted bug triage, log parsing, anomaly detection, and LLM-based test data generation.
- Workflow Integration: AI embedded in CI/CD pipelines, AI-generated documentation, intelligent test coverage optimization, AI-enhanced QA dashboards.
- Advanced QA/AI Crossover: RAG pipelines for QA systems, vector DBs for regression across requirements/tests/logs, AI-driven test maintenance.
What do we offer?
We focus on health, wealth, and empowering relationships:
- Fully remote work with flexible hours
- Competitive salary
- Opportunity to become a co-owner of the cooperative
- Individual career development plan
- Friendly and collaborative team culture
- Prioritization of mental and physical health
- Work alongside colleagues passionate about growth, innovation, and building meaningful products
What does the interview process look like?
- Initial Interview: We’ll start with a friendly 45-minute cultural and technical interview. Two members of our team will assess your cultural fit, experience, and engineering expertise, the major challenges you’ve tackled, and discuss your ideal workspace.
- You can choose between two Technical Deep Dive options:
- Homework Assignment: If there’s a match, we’ll provide a brief homework assignment designed to take around 2 hours to complete. This will be followed by a 1-hour technical interview to discuss the homework and conduct a technical deep dive.
- Pair Programming: If you prefer not to do a homework assignment, we’ll have a 2-hour technical deep dive session, primarily focused on pair programming.
Regardless of the outcome, we will provide constructive feedback to help you grow.
