What you’ll be working on?
You’ll be working on a modern SaaS platform, collaborating closely with developers, QA specialists, and product teams. The focus will be on automated test development and integration across the stack, ensuring that both new features and existing systems are continuously validated through reliable, maintainable tests.
Your work will directly impact product quality, release confidence, and customer satisfaction by embedding automation into the development lifecycle and improving overall test coverage.
Your Role
As a QA Automation Consultant (Contractor), you will:
- Build and maintain automated E2E, integration, and functional tests using Cypress and Playwright.
- Develop and support API and web test automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers to embed automated testing in the CI/CD workflow.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and fix defects uncovered during testing.
- Enhance test coverage, improve execution speed, and increase reliability.
- Stay current with emerging tools, frameworks, and practices in test automation.

We’re seeking QA consultants with a proven track record in automation who can work proactively with engineers and product teams to ensure top-quality releases.
Requirements
- Strong experience in test automation for SaaS platforms
- Hands-on expertise with Cypress and Playwright (must-have)
- Solid knowledge of REST API testing
- Familiarity with SaaS performance and accessibility testing
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD systems (GitHub, GitLab, etc.)
- Competence with Git and version control
- Understanding of browser mechanics, DOM, and debugging utilities
- Exposure to infrastructure testing is a plus
- Availability for contractor/consulting work

- Initial Interview: A 45-minute cultural and technical conversation with two Camplight team members.
- Technical Deep Dive: Choose between:
- A homework assignment (2 hours) followed by a 1-hour review.
- A pair programming session (2 hours) working on practical test scenarios.
