The Role:
We're looking for a Marketing Manager who’s equal parts strategist and creator. In this role, you'll own content and platform strategy, manage our website and social channels, and help shape how the world sees us as we pursue a mission to build scientific superintelligence to solve humankind’s greatest challenges. You’ll be telling the story of science, AI, and innovation — across formats and platforms. You’ll join a fast-paced, collaborative team, embracing AI to optimize performance and approaching everything we do with Truth, Trust, Curiosity, Grit and Velocity.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in an early-stage, collaborative, and highly creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the CCO who oversees internal / external communications and digital /traditional MarCom activities.
- Strategy & Creation: Develop and execute a content calendar that spans social media, blog, email, and video. Craft original, compelling content that distills complex scientific and AI concepts for a broader audience.
- Social Media: Own our presence across platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.) — from writing posts and creating visuals to community engagement and analytics.
- Storytelling & Copywriting: Write everything from short-form social captions to longer blog posts, interviews, case studies, and landing pages. Bonus if you’re a natural storyteller or have a journalism background.
- Website Management: Keep our website fresh, on-brand, and up-to-date. Ensure UX and SEO best practices are followed.
- Visual Content: Create simple social graphics, edit photos, and help produce short-form video content (interviews, explainers, behind-the-scenes, etc.).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and science teams to turn deep technical insights into accessible, engaging content.
- Analytics: Track performance across platforms and optimize based on what’s working.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5+ years experience in content marketing, digital marketing, journalism, or communications.
- Excellent writing and editing skills — especially in translating complex, technical topics into clear, engaging language.
- Comfort working with scientists, researchers, or technical teams.
- Experience managing websites.
- Familiarity with social media tools and analytics platforms.
- Light design skills — Canva, Adobe, or Figma — and a good eye for visuals.
- Bonus points for photography, video editing, or motion design experience.
- Self-starter mindset and comfort operating in a startup environment (a lot of ownership).
Bonus Points:
- Background or education in science.
- Former reporter or journalism experience. Experience in technical writing.
- Passion for AI, science, or emerging tech.
- Portfolio of past content work (social media, blog posts, design samples, etc.).
Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week in-office
- Cambridge, MA
