Job Summary:

Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Director / Director of Corporate Strategy & Operations will work closely with leadership to drive Serif’s portfolio strategy, establish partnerships, and lead operations within the company.

This role will support high-priority, high-impact projects across the organization, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive corporate strategy, pipeline strategy, competitive intelligence, market analysis, and investor relations. The successful candidate will have scientific acumen, be deeply collaborative, an outstanding communicator, and will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Strategy

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to shape, translate, and execute the company's corporate strategy.
  • Develop and refine company presentation materials for investors, Board, and external stakeholders in close collaboration with leadership and scientific team.
  • Support portfolio strategy and indication selection in close partnership with scientific leadership

Investor Relations & Capital Formation

  • Support BD and alliance management with partners both internal and external to Flagship
  • Monitor competitive landscape and translate insights into actionable recommendations for R&D prioritization, BD targeting, and investor messaging
  • Support equity financings with CEO/CFO: help craft the investment narrative, slide preparation, own data-room readiness, and support investor outreach

Company and Operations

  • Support different aspects of company operations, including liaising with Flagship teams in finance, facilities, IT, HR, and legal.
  • Prepare and support Serif leadership team meetings, driving agenda items, discussion topics, decision making, and outcomes / actions

Qualifications and Skills

  • PhD strongly preferred, BS or other graduate degree in life sciences required.
  • Strong scientific acumen, with ability to understand and translate science into high-impact presentations for multiple audiences. Previous bench / research and genetic medicine experience a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and drug development landscape. Experience with forecasting and valuation a plus.
  • Experience in biopharma management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, business development, and/or corporate strategy highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate credibly and clearly with wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Curious, sharp business acumen, superior analytic skills.
  • Results-driven, high-performer with a strong collaborative style; able to influence and build consensus across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly self-motivated with demonstrated agility to multitask, manage time, handle uncertainty, and work under pressure with limited oversight.
  • Passion for growth and development, with clear demonstration of openness to both giving and receiving feedback and track record of acting on feedback
